Zultanite
December 29, 2008
There’s a new gemstone on the block, found in only one location in the world—the remote and rugged terrain of the Mugla region of Anatolia, Turkey. Zultanite, named after the 36 sultans who once ruled the Ottoman Empire, possesses the mystique of color changeability. In daylight, the stone appears kiwi green, but indoors it turns to a brownish raspberry. No other gemstone turns these colors, making Zultanite unique in all the world. This Zultanite gem was cut into a unique snowflake shape by the Wobito Brothers, master gem cutters based in Canada.

Cuff Love
December 26, 2008
Wide cuff bracelets continue their stand-out status going into 2009. This stainless steel Persian Rug cuff by Tattooed Steel is created by artist, engineer, and wanna-be surfer Jared Van Orman. Designs are burned onto brushed stainless steel for a unique (and painless!) tatooed look.
