Tips on buying gemstone beads:
1) Look for the best quality gemstone.
2) Verify that the cracks in a gemstone bead are not darker than the bead itself.
3) If the beads are being sold in a 16” strand make sure it is 16” and not 14” or 15” if possible.
4) Make sure beads are not cracked or chipped by the holes as this tears the thread.
5) Evenly shaped beads.
6) Good color.
7) Good sized holes so that you can use a stronger thread.
